Mark Your Calendars!

November 2015 – we’re coming back, better than ever!

Right here in Rochester, we have more and more authors choosing to follow the self-publishing path, and the Central Library of Rochester & Monroe County is here to help make your publishing dreams a reality!

The second annual Self-Published Book Festival will once again feature workshops for writers to learn how to publish their books independently. The Book Fair will also be returning, so we can continue to connect local self-published authors with local readers.

The big news? We will be expanding to two days! There’s just too much awesome stuff planned to squeeze into one day.

Please check back with us often to find out what other new and fantastic surprises we have planned for this year. And if you’re an author, definitely keep your eyes peeled for our Call for Authors, which will be going out in the spring.

Exciting stuff is coming – we can’t wait to share it with you.

  1. Excellent idea… I have two self published books and one more to come soon. Hope to be able to participate in. November. Thanks committee! Alexander C Johnson

  2. I dropped off my book today. It’s an attempt at humor “bathroom” book, so I’m not sure if it’s right for the festival. We’ll see.

If it isn’t accepted, that’s fine. Just put it next to the bathroom stall. That’ll make me feel like I still made it.

    1. Hi there, Cattaraugus County is unfortunately a bit beyond our scope – we consider neighboring counties to be those that border Monroe. However, you are certainly more than welcome to attend the Festival (we can even add you to our email list, if you’d like). You could also talk to your local library about setting up your own Self-Published Book Festival!
